Medik8 facial treatments have been carefully curated to rejuvenate the skin while providing you with a supremely relaxing experience. Using super-strength professional-grade products, our therapists will offer their expert advice and tailor a treatment programme to meet your specific skincare concerns. A course of 3 or 6 facials will be recommended alongside a simple at home regime to optimise the benefits and see visible results.

12 Weeks to WOW Peels
Medik8’s new ‘12 Weeks to WOW!’ method is a complete work out for your skin. And just like regular personal training sessions, you’ll see incredible improvements week by week. Results include smoother, radiant skin, a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and a more even, radiant complexion.
Medik8’s innovative ’12 Weeks to WOW!’ method is completely personalised to your skin. Your customised peel programme involves a course of six peels. You’ll also be prescribed a full home regime of skincare products specifically designed to tackle your skin concerns.

During your peel treatment, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed, and a pre-peel solution applied. Your peel is gently applied using a disposable soft brush. The peel is then left on for between one and 10 minutes, depending on the treatment you’re having. Our skin aesthetician stays with you throughout making regular checks on the skin and how you are doing.
Once complete, a gentle neutralising solution is applied to your skin followed by a calming cleanser. A soft, damp gauze will then be placed on your face for a few minutes, followed by a soothing serum. The last touch is applying sunscreen protection.

The number of treatments depends on what you’re seeking treatment for and the overall condition of your skin. A course of the Medik8 ’12 Weeks to WOW!’ typically involves six peels taken at two-week intervals over 12 weeks.
Before each peel, our aesthetician will discuss changes in your skin and select the most appropriate peel treatment for you.

‘12 weeks to WOW’ skin peels are clinically designed to minimise irritation. Its time release formula slowly releases the active ingredient into the skin, so it is a comfortable experience. Plus, you can keep the peel on for longer.

Full after-care instructions will be provided at your consultation. We will also provide you with all the skincare solutions you need in the days after your peel, including soothing cleansers, skin serums and sunscreen. As well as supporting healing, this intensifies the results.
Your skin should be treated gently afterwards (no abrasive face cloths or exfoliators). You should also wear a high protection sun screen every day, even if it’s not sunny. Even though it might be tempting, it’s important to leave your skin to re-new naturally.

As with most peel treatments, ‘12 Weeks to WOW!’ is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or undergoing cancer treatment. The peel process involves applying a safe, high strength active acid to the skin. The solution gets to work in quick time removing dead skin cells, increasing skin cell regeneration, and boosting fibroblasts – the cells which produce collagen.

The immediate effect of your peel can be seen after one treatment. Skin looks fresher and smoother. Over the treatment course (typically six peels over a period of 12 weeks) you will see a noticeable improvement in your skin texture. As your skin continues to create new collagen, your skin quality will continue to improve. Older skin will appear fresher and firmer, acne-prone skin clearer and smoother, uneven complexions more even and radiant.

Yes and should take place 2 weeks before your first treatment – our expert skin aesthetician will discuss your skin concerns and the results you want to achieve. To ensure you’re suitable for our bespoke chemical peel treatments, you’ll be given a skin patch test and asked about your medical history.
